Our History

Lighthouse Care Center of Conway first opened its doors for business in 2002, providing services for adolescents only at that time. The facility had the capacity to house 60 adolescents (both males and females) for group home services and another 16 on the residential side. In the summer of 2003 a twenty bed unit for adult psychiatric care was opened as well. As the need for additional acute care services became apparent, Lighthouse Care Center expanded in 2007 by opening two new units. The geriatric psychiatric unit opened as an eight bed unit in February of that year and expanded to 20 beds in 2008. Then in June of 2007, Lighthouse opened up a Dual Diagnosis unit for those individuals suffering with both a psychiatric and substance abuse diagnosis simultaneously. Currently, Lighthouse Care Center of Conway is a 112 bed facility with 21 additional beds to be added for acute services in the near future.
