Chief Nursing Officer

Penny came to the Lighthouse in 2010 as the Chief Nursing Officer. She is directly responsible for nursing, central supply, infection control and pharmacy services at Lighthouse.

Penny holds an Associate Degree in Science from Trident Technical College, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing & a Master of Science in Nursing, with an emphasis on Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator, from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Healthcare Administration at the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Health Professions. Penny is nationally board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Prior to coming to Lighthouse, Penny was the Director of Healthcare for a community based program working with individuals with developmental disabilities in Summerville and worked part time as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Charleston area.
