On-Campus School

Lighthouse Care Center of Conway provides an on-campus school for the year-round educational needs of our adolescent residents. We follow the Horry County school calendar and our instruction is based upon South Carolina Department of Education curriculum standards. All of our teachers are certified, and recognized as highly qualified by the State. They provide an outstanding educational program to meet each student’s individual needs. All credits that a resident receives while attending our school transfer to the public school system.

Classroom sizes average nine students with a teacher and mental health aide in each of the classrooms. Our teachers are dedicated, highly skilled and hard working. Our mission is to create a safe, nurturing classroom environment utilizing academics and behavioral therapy to meet the needs and challenges of each student.
